Capital Planning Committee approves two school capital requests after reopening votes.

Capital Planning Committee · Meeting of March 10, 2026

CANTON — Capital Planning Committee recommends $143,000 in school capital funding. The committee voted 4-0-1 to recommend approval of two passenger vans for $108,000 and 4-0-1 to back a Network Zone Directory SSID Configuration for $35,000, both Schools Cash Capital requests; David Emhardt abstained from both votes. Chairperson Christopher Deck's committee completed FY27 capital reviews and voted unanimously to defer the municipal five-year plan to Finance Director William Scollins and the Finance Committee, noting the committee lacks expertise in revenue forecasting.

Adam Nichols will present the Capital Planning Committee's recommendations to the Finance Committee on March 18.
