Canton Library Trustees approve prior minutes and hear staffing announcements. Library Director Andrea Capone reported the appointment of two new librarians, Outreach Librarian Erin Kelley and YA Librarian Anderson Vasquez, and the completion of Central Maintenance staffing with two new custodians. The library received a Mass Broadband Institute Grant for 30 free laptops and Chromebooks and the recently ratified AFSCME contract authorizes Sunday hours beginning July 1, 2027.
Friends of the Library President Bill Quinn reported $13,116 in 2025 spending against a $16,500 budget and $70,150 in transfers toward the Second Century Fund, with upcoming events including Comedy Night #4 on February 28 and a fifth-annual 5K in April.
