Canton DPW to shift hydrant flushing to daytime
The Canton Department of Public Works will keep flushing hydrants at night through next Tuesday before switching to daytime work, weather permitting.
The Town of Canton announced Oct. 22 that the Department of Public Works will continue its hydrant flushing program at night through next Tuesday before shifting to daytime hours.
According to the update, flushing is taking place Monday through Thursday. Night flushing runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. through next Tuesday. After that, the DPW will move to daytime flushing, weather permitting.
The department asked residents for patience as crews carry out what it called important maintenance work throughout town.
