Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of June 1, 2026

Canton Community Preservation Committee approves plan, closes cemetery projects. The Community Preservation Committee voted unanimously to approve its 2026 preservation plan and to formally close the Canton Corner Cemetery and Olde English Burying Ground projects, returning a combined $17,138.42 to the undesignated CPA fund. The committee extended multiple preservation projects into fiscal year 2027, including historic renovations at the Tilden House and the Paul Reviere Heritage Site Pavilion, while deferring its annual organizational meeting to August pending new appointments by the Select Board.

Chairperson George Comeau recommended that the next comprehensive plan update occur within the next couple of years, following the 2022 update.
