Canton library renovation advances to bidding phase with May 1 deadline. The Board of Library Trustees approved moving the interior renovation project to bid, with ten firms attending a walk-through on April 14. Director Andrea Capone reported the library will close April 27-29 for migration to Evergreen, a new integrated library system, reopening at 1 p.m. on April 30.
Circulation data showed strong usage with 17,237 total visits and 16,136 print circulation transactions. The Friends of the Library reported 2026 budget spending of $2,696.09 with $13,803.96 remaining and are planning a 5K fundraiser on April 26.
