Capital Planning Committee braces for heavy FY28 planning ahead

CANTON — Capital Planning Committee gears up for intensive spring cycle. Chairperson Christopher Deck and Vice Chairperson Adam Nichols outlined an expected schedule of one to three weekly meetings from January through March 2027, mirroring the FY27 planning cycle. Nichols was reappointed as the committee's liaison to the Water & Sewer Rate Policy Committee in a 5-0-1 vote, with Nichols abstaining.
Before year's end, Deck and Nichols will contact department heads with reminders about completing capital request forms. The committee also acknowledged a Finance Department transition, with new Finance Director Allyson Podgurski replacing retiring Director Randy Scollins.
